Our GSAEF Mission:

The Greater San Antonio Education Foundation (GSAEF) is dedicated to promoting housing affordability and supporting the residential building industry. Through scholarships, seminars, specialized training, and various community initiatives, GSAEF strives to:

  • Empower Individuals: Provide opportunities for individuals to pursue careers in the homebuilding industry and achieve financial stability.
  • Elevate Industry Standards: Foster professionalism and continuous learning among current and future industry professionals.
  • Strengthen the Community: Contribute to the overall well-being of the San Antonio community through housing development and job creation.

The Greater San Antonio Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated by the State of Texas.

Greater San Antonio Education Foundation (GSAEF) Scholarship

The Greater San Antonio Education Foundation Scholarship empowers the next generation of homebuilders and associates by providing financial support to students pursuing careers in residential construction. Scholarships are awarded each semester to help students achieve their educational and career goals.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a graduating high school senior, or hold a high school diploma/GED
  • Must be accepted or enrolled at a Texas trade/technical school, community college, or 4-year university
  • Must be pursuing a residential construction–related degree or trade certification (e.g., homebuilding, remodeling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, design, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate an interest in working in the homebuilding industry upon graduation

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic achievement and rigor
  • Career goals and industry commitment
  • Financial need
  • Letters of recommendation

Award Information:

  • Scholarship amounts vary based on financial need, typically up to $1,000 per semester
  • Funds are disbursed directly to the student’s school to apply toward tuition and fees
  • Recipients may reapply each semester, provided they maintain enrollment and good academic standing

Applications Accepted Year-Round
The GSAEF Scholarship accepts applications on a rolling basis — students may apply at any time.
