Why Join?

The Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA) is an organization of professionals in the residential construction industry. GSABA is member-run, and designed to improve the businesses of its members by arranging networking events, providing a thorough continuing education program, communicating the latest policies and regulations in the industry, and representing the best interests of its members legislatively on local, state, and national levels.

Networking Events: Check the GSABA Calendar for a list of the upcoming events. At each event, Members have a chance to network with each other. Volunteering on Events Committees and attending events is a great way to meet potential customers.

Marketing Events: Through one-of-a-kind events such as the Spring Tour of Homes, the Parade of Homes™, and the Builders Showcase Expo, Members gain opportunities to advertise to the consumer.

Insurance: Save substantial money on your insurance needs with your membership to GSABA.  From Health to Supplemental to General Liability, your membership will gain you access to insurance programs that are easy to apply to, offer actual savings, and have a large selection of doctors and providers. Education: The University of Housing at San Antonio is the continuing education program that was produced by the National Association of Home Builders for use by local home builders associations around the United States. Taking these courses earns Members credits towards a special designation, such as Certified Graduate Associate, Certified Sales Professional, or Graduate Master Builder, among others.

Communication: Updates to legislation, notices about regulatory agencies, changes to building codes, and countless other valuable announcements are sent to our members via fax, email, post, and our monthly newsletter, The Builder Brief.

Government Affairs: GSABA has dedicated countless resources to lobbying, tracking the activities of local policy makers, monitoring local regulatory agencies, developing relationships with local officials, and organizing pro-active industry activities that positively affect the San Antonio homebuilding climate. Keeping homebuilding on the minds of local lawmakers will insure that our industry, which contributes substantially to the local economy, is protected and regulated smartly, not broadly.
